AFC 챔피언스 리그 3 경기를 모두 졌지만 치앙라이 유나이티드는 산술적으로 불가능한 상황이 될 때까지 토너먼트에 진출하기 위해 싸울 것이라고 감독 대행인 Alongkorn Thongsaum이 말했다.

 

Alongkorn은 본인의 팀에게 지난 화요일에 5:0으로 패배를 안겨준 FC서울과의 재대결을 앞두고 가능한 한 오랫동안 계속해서 싸우기 위해 최선을 다할 것이라고 이야기 했습니다.

 

Alongkorn은 이렇게 이야기했다.

 

“첫 골이 가장 중요합니다. "

 

“첫 골을 넣을 수 있다면 이번 경기에서 승점을 얻을 수있을 것 같습니다. "

 

“다음 세 경기를 위해 최선을 다할 것입니다. 지금은 다음 라운드에 진출하기가 매우 어렵다는 것을 알고 있지만 어떤 일이든 일어날 수 있습니다. 세 경기뿐입니다. 우리는 우리가 계획 한 것을 따를 수 있기를 바라며 그렇게한다면 상황을 되돌릴 수 있다고 믿습니다. 우리는 여기서 약자이므로 잃을 것이없고 끝까지 싸워야합니다"

 

 

카타르에서 열린 첫 경기에서 서울에게 완벽하게 패한 치앙라이는 그들의 도하 여행기에서 새로운 장밋빛 챕터를 고대하고 있습니다. 이처럼 심한 패배를 겪은 지 72 시간 만에 이러한 반전을 시작하는 것은 쉬운 일이 아니지만 Alongkorn은 이번에는 육체적으로나 전술적으로 그의 편이 더 잘 준비 될 것이라고 믿습니다.

치앙라이에게 5:0 대승을 거두기전 8경기 중 오직 한 경기만 승리했던 FC서울은 아시아 챔피언스리그 3경기에서 승점 6점을 거두고 있고 성공적인 방향으로 가고 있는 것으로 보이지만, 이원준 감독 대행은 아무것도 결정 된 것이 없다고 신중한 태도를 보였습니다.

 

 

"이 토너먼트의 게임에 영향을 미치는 많은 요소가 있습니다."라고 그는 말했습니다.

“지난 경기에서 큰 승리를 거두었지만 다음 경기에서 같은 팀을 아주 쉽게 이길 수 있다고 말할 수는 없습니다. "

Doha: They have lost all three of their AFC Champions League matches, but Chiangrai United will fight for a place in the tournament’s knockout stage until it becomes a mathematical impossibility, according to interim coach Alongkorn Thongsaum.

Speaking ahead of Chiangrai’s Friday meeting with FC Seoul, a side who beat them 5-0 on Tuesday, Alongkorn admitted the 2019 Thai champions have it all to do but insists his side will continue to fight for as long as possible.

 

“We have to start the match looking for the first goal,” said Alongkorn. “If we can score the first goal, we think we can get some points from this match.

“For the next three matches, we are going give our best. We know that it’s quite difficult now to qualify for the next round, but anything can happen. It’s just three matches.

“We hope that we can follow what we have planned, and if we do, we believe we can turn around situation around. We are the underdogs here, so we have nothing to lose and we must fight until the end.

 

Comprehensively beaten by a rampant Seoul in their first match in Qatari soil, Chiangrai are hopeful their Doha travelogue will feature a much rosier second chapter,

Pulling off a such a turnaround just 72 hours after suffering such a heavy defeat is no easy task, but Alongkorn believes his side will be better prepared this time, both physically and tactically.

“We start with the players who are the most ready to play the match and who have the better fitness,” he said.

“Some players have just started to play and don’t have a good condition. We have some who have come back from suspension, so we need to review the team. We don’t have too much time (between games) for training, but we’ve tried to have meetings and talk about the tactics. We have to contribute more with regards to chance creation.”

While the onus is on Chiangrai to deliver a far better performance, FC Seoul boss Lee Won-jun – also serving in an interim capacity – just needs more of the same for his side to take another big step towards the Round of 16.

Having won one of their previous eight matches before their five-star display against the Thais, Seoul have six points from three ACL matches, and can now see a path to success in the Asian competition, but Lee maintains nothing is guaranteed if his side become complacent.

“There are a lot of factors that affect the games in this tournament,” he said. “Even though we had a big win the last game, no one can say that we can beat the same team very easily in the next game.

“In the last match we had a 5-0 win, and we expect tomorrow there will be high pressure from our opponents, but our players have a good mentality and their condition is good. Their willingness to win the match is very strong and we expect a good match tomorrow.”

Friday's match at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium will be preceded by a moment of silence for Argentina legend Diego Maradona, who passed away aged 60 from a heart attack on Wednesday.
